Of Polish origins, Marta Czok was born in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1947. The following year her family moved to London, where she was raised and where she completed her training at St Martin's School of Art, taking part for several years in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions. Since 1974, she has established her studio in Italy, while her works have been exhibited internationally, including the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Japan and United States. In 2000, Alitalia commissioned Marta Czok for a triptych to be donated to Pope John Paul II on his 80 th birthday. That same year, Czok was invited by the Ambassade de France près le Saint-Siège to produce a group of works on the occasion of the Jubilee. Czok's works have continued to be appreciated world-wide and she recently received a further commission from the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line for their ship navigator of the Seas. In april 2005 Marta Czok held an important anthological exhibition in Rome, in the Complesso Museale di San Salvatore in Lauro. Marta Czok lives and works in Castel Gandolfo, Rome.
