Angelo Camerino was born in Greccio, Rieti, in 1932. Aside from painting, he has always had a strong interest in the art of restoration, in sculpture techniques, printing and fresco painting. It is therefore possible to find some of Camerino’s works of restoration and decoration in many churches and palaces in Rome. For instance, one of Camerino’s altar pieces can be found in the Vatican, in the Cappella Sala Nervi, while another one is in Palazzo Simonetti and a wood triptych is in Rome’s Vicariate. Other works can be found in the churches of San Sebastiano, San Gregorio al Celio, Santa Dorotea in Trastevere, and in Villa Madama. Angelo Camerino has participated in numerous exhibitions and national competitions and his sculptures have been used as prizes in the show business. He currently lives and works in Rome.
